serviceRead these precautions carefully before using youris needed.The cabinet should never be opened for anyspeakers.reasons.To assure the finest performance,please read thisSecure placement or installation is the owner'smanual carefully.Keep it in a safe place for futureresponsibility.YAMAHA shall not be liable for anyreference.accident caused by improper placement orInstall the speaker in a cool.dry.clean place-away frominstallation ofspeaker.windows,heat sources,sources of excessive vibration.dust,moisture and cold.Avoid sources of hummingPRECAUTIONS WHEN(transformers,motors).To prevent fire or electricalPOSITIONING THE SPEAKERSshock,do not expose the speaker to rain or water.To prevent the enclosure from warping or discoloring.The speaker is constructed with the majority of the weightdo not place the speaker where it will be exposed tolocated in its upper portion,and is thus susceptible todirect sunlight or excessive humidity.falling over if proper care is nottaken to insure its stability.Do not place the following objects on the speaker:If the speaker falls over,it may damage the speaker or beGlass,china,small metallic,etc.the cause of injury (or even death)to persons and/orIf glass etc.falls by vibrations and breaks,it maydamage to personal property.cause bodily injury.A buming candle etc.If the candle falls by vibrations,it may cause fire andbodily injuryA vessel with water in itIfthe vessel falls by vibrations and water spills,it maycause damage to the speaker,and/or you may get anelectric shock.Do not place the speaker where foreign objects such aswater drips might fall.It might cause a fire,damage toFor safe and proper use of the speaker:the speaker,and/or bodily injury.Position the speaker in a location that is solid,level,Do not place the speaker where it is liable to be knockedsmooth,and low (with respect to the floor).over or struck by falling objects.Stable placement will.Do not push or apply pressure to the side ofthe STANDSWhen placing the speakers,be sure to use the stands to1 First,put the screw through the washer,then throughthe inner hole of the stand,and screw it into the outsideincrease stability.hole of the speaker.Do not tighten too much at thispoint.Outer holeInner hole(L)Stand (R x 2,Lx 2)2 Put a screw through the outer hole on the stand,andscrew it into the other hole on the base of the speaker.Pad x 4Washer x 4Screw3 Tighten both of the screws firmly.(25mm)x 8Attach a pad to the bottom of the end portion of theNotestand.The provided stands are in two types.Two stands are for the right(5)Attach the other stands to the other corners of the baseposition on the bottom of the speaker by following the figureof the speaker in the same way and confirm that all 4below.stands have been firmly attached.Viewfrom the bottom of the speaker(Back(R)(L)FrontUse the 8 specified holes located on the base of the speaker.NoteBe carefull not to apply force to the side of the speaker,otherwisethe speaker may fall causing damage to the speaker or personal宅海网宅海网宅海网2CONNECTIONS TO YOUR AMPLIFIERThis speaker system is capable of standard connections and bi-wired connections.Beforemaking connections,make sure that the amplifier is switched off.[Standard Connection]How to Connect:Leave the short1 Remove the insulation coating at the extremity of eachbars in place whenspeaker cable by twisting the coating off.connecting.Short barGood No Good2 Loosen the terminal knob.NS-777/NS-555(R)NS-777/NS-555L)③Insert the bare wire..Tighten the knob and secure the cable.Test thefirmness of the connection by pulling lightly on thecable at the terminal.NoteDo not let the bare speaker wires touch each other to avoiddamaging the speaker or the amplifier,or both of them.Speaker outputterminals of theamplifierUsing a Banana PlugBanana PlugAmplifier orReceiver⊕■CONNECTIONS.Connect the screw-type input terminals at the rear of thespeaker to the speaker output terminals of the amplifier(or receiver)with the speaker cable.and the speaker using one side of the cable.Connect the(-)terminals on both components using the other side ofthe cable.Connect one speaker to the left (marked L)terminals of1 Remove the speaker terminal cover by gently pulling ityour amplifier,and another speaker to the right(markedtoward you.R)terminals,making sure not to reverse the polarity (+Tighten the terminal knob-)If one speaker is connected with reversed polarity,the sound will be unnatural and lack bass.3 Simply insert the banana plug into the terminal.宅嗨网宅嗨网nglis3
